more than just a wedding
The joy of any destination wedding is the immersive experience you offer your guests. When you get married in a city venue, guests often show up 15 minutes before the ceremony, and then go home before the music ends. Not so in Hill Country. When you have your wedding at CW Ranch, you're making an excuse for everyone to come out and enjoy the picturesque scenery, experience small-time charm, and spend a little time together around a few meals. The time you spend with loved ones while not wearing a white dress will be amongst the most memorable.
When you plan a Hill Country wedding, it's easy to be a good host. You've already done all the hard work just by picking the right venue locale.
The CW Ranch
When you rent the ranch, it's exclusively yours. The most popular activity is lounging by the pool at the Ranch House. The boys can shoot pool or play poker in the Foreman's House if they're not at the nearby skeet ranges or golf courses. Later in the afternoon, everyone can get together for some Hill Country classics like corn hole or giant Jenga - or bring your own lawn games. End the evening around the fire pit roasting s'mores and looking at the stars.
Texas Hill country
CW Ranch sits in the middle of Texas' outdoor playground. Nearby are several small towns with lively main streets and local artisans showcasing authentic goods. Let's not forget that the Hill Country is also wine country. Take time to explore the local wineries and breweries, and find a shady spot under a live oak for an afternoon picnic. If you prefer to eat inside, check out one of the Hill Country's BBQ pits.
Nearby Hill Country Activities
CW Ranch has so much to do within half-an-hour of the venue the toughest decision is what not to do on your wedding weekend. Our guests' favorite include golfing, skeet shooting, massage and spa services, wineries and breweries, antiquing in historic Boerne and Comfort, canoeing on the Guadalupe River, and hiking and mountain biking. We couldn't talk about things to do in the Texas Hill Country without a nod to Luckenbach. This treasured landmark once showcased the likes of Willie Nelson, and now features live music most nights. Only time will tell if you'll see the "next big thing" when you visit.
